Course Description: This is an interdisciplinary workshop providing an introductory overview of public engagement through the lens of art. Students will learn basic methodologies of civic engagement; how to create an inquiry-based lesson plan with an emphasis on creative expression; and how to lead a group of elementary and middle school students, with priority placed on collaboration and art-making. Students will also create a portfolio documenting the experience of this class.
