Colombia's 2016 peace accord formally brought an end to a half-century of that country's civil wars. The accord's implementation, however, has been troubled. This raises issues relevant to Colombia and to other locales putatively transitioning out of violent conflicts. Specifically:
1) Colombian History: What is Colombia’s history of violence/civil conflict?
2) Colombian Peace: What are the details of Colombia’s recent Peace Pact and why has it been so contentious?
3) Human Rights and Colombia: What are international human rights and how might they inform a sustainable peace in a country such as Colombia?
4) Transitional Justice and Colombia: What is Transitional Justice (TJ) and can its norms inform a truth-telling processes that takes into account the distinct context of a country such as Colombia?
5) Transformative Justice and Colombia: How have TJ processes been adapted to the Colombian context and are they helping/can they help establish the basis of a more pluralistic social contract that engages all of its remarkable diversity, including identities (ethnic, gender, sexual) that have long been marginalized?
