This is a blended program, three weeks online and four days face-to-face. Participants will be divided into groups based on the needs they identify in their applications and the level of their proficiency in standards-based and technology-enhanced instruction. Participants will set learning goals that are suitable for their needs. Sessions will focus on how to effectively use technology to enhance a standards-based approach: locating authentic materials on the web including video, music, art, graphics, text, data; using technologies to make authentic materials accessible to students including MovieMaker and PowerPoint; facilitating interpersonal communication through instant messaging, video, audio and written chats, emails, interactive assignments and homework; supporting presentational communication using the technologies listed above as well as online postings, webpages and GoogleDrive.
