In this class we will study the intersections of journalism, opinion writing and propaganda, learning to write powerfully and persuasively while identifying and learning to grapple with the forces that attempt to manipulate unprepared minds. The course is taught by a Pulitzer-winning former editor of the Los Angeles Times Sunday Opinion section who also served as National Communications Director for the nation's oldest, largest and most effective grassroots environmental organization.
